Use Case 3: Internationalisation
The original UC3 demonstrator was designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises begin a process of internationalisation by making relevant market and legal information easier to retrieve and organise.
Within the MULTISENSOR project, this use case focused on a practical business problem: how to support SMEs that need structured access to information about countries, markets, legal environments, and economic conditions when evaluating international opportunities.

What the Internationalisation Use Case Was Designed to Support
The original UC3 application was intended to help SMEs explore international markets with better access to relevant information and a more structured basis for decision-making.
According to the project material, the UC3 demonstrator was designed to support users:
- in understanding the specific meaning of a textual document independently of language, tone, and idioms
- in identifying content such as market data and legal texts, as well as institutions and people relevant to business goals
- in summarising the content of very complex and heterogeneous texts while highlighting the most important information
- in organising information about different markets according to specific criteria
Why This Use Case Mattered
International expansion often requires companies to assess large amounts of unfamiliar and fragmented information. Market conditions, legal requirements, institutional structures, and economic signals may be distributed across multiple sources, formats, and languages.
